The Scott Air Force Base Exchange is gearing up to host multiple "celebrities" during the month of April.

Children's singer Ralph Covert will perform in the food court Saturday at noon with a CD signing following the performance.

Total Nonstop Action, TNA, wrestling superstars A.J. Style and The Beautiful People will visit the base April 15 at noon, and Women's Professional League player Hope Solo from St. Louis Athletica Soccer will be available to meet April 24 at noon.

The athletes will travel to Scott at their own expense, allowing the events to be presented at no cost.

David Couture, Exchange stockroom manager, said, "They want to thank the military for their service. The performers also want to share their talent with Team Scott and their families."

Mr. Covert said, "I'm playing at the base because there are kids there, and kids love to rock and have fun where ever they are--on a farm, in a city or on an air force base."
Lawrence Simmons Jr., exchange general manager said the free events help spouses and children take a break from high-stress times if a spouse is currently serving overseas or at another duty location.

"These types of events are a good distraction from deployments," he said.

The Scott Exchange will continue providing Team Scott with performances and meet and greets as long as participation continues.

"We want to provide more family entertainment events," said Mr. Simmons. "Count on seeing more of it."
