Are you nearing separation or retirement and looking for an Information Technology, technical or intelligence job? Do you have an active federal security clearance and interest in finding new career opportunities? If so, you can attend the Scott Air Force Base Defense Technology and Intelligence Career Fair.

The Airman and Family Readiness Center is hosting the career fair May 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Scott Club. The event is produced by Transition Careers. The career fair is only open to job seekers who already have access onto the military installation (military ID or CAC holders).

Transition Careers cannot provide access for job seekers regardless of pre-registration.
"Attending the career fair is a great way to bolster your job seeking, network and higher education efforts," said Jason Semerakis, Transition Careers founder and CEO.
Transition Careers facilitates technical and security clearance career fairs for the DoD and intelligence communities.

"Most prospective job seekers stick with the traditional methods of finding a job by answering ads posting in the newspaper or on an online job board. By attending this career fair, you are putting yourself directly in front of the organizations that need your skills, giving yourself a leg up on the competition."

The fair provides an opportunity for prospective employees to have face-to-face contact with local and national companies.

Even if separation or retirement is a few years away, the career fair could be a tool to see what opportunities are available to have an idea for the future.
