375th AMW and 932nd AW join for exercise Published Aug. 18, 2010 By Bekah Clark 375th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Airmen from the 375th Air Mobility Wing joined forces with the 932nd Airlift Wing during the weekend to accomplish a combined mobility exercise to practice deploying combat-ready Airmen to a forward location. The exercise, which was in preparation for the 932nd's Operational Readiness Inspection, began early Friday morning and ended Sunday afternoon and demonstrated each wing's capability to position the force in the event of mobilization. During the exercise, the Airmen processed through a mobility line which is used as a one stop shop for out processing during a mass mobilization of force. During the line, each Airman's mobility folder is checked for any personnel and record discrepancies, medical records are reviewed and any immunizations necessary for the deployed location are administered; and chaplains' and Airman and Family Readiness Center services such as counseling are reviewed. Deployers also receive an intelligence briefing about the situation and location they are deploying to. Look in the Command Post or at www.scott.af.mil next week for an expanded story about the exercise.
