Forty-five days ago members of the 375th Logistics Readiness Squadron received notification that they were going to be inspected and this week are demonstrating their hard work as they go through the Logistics Compliance Assessment Program, or LCAP.

"The LCAP is important because it shows our ability to perform our mission in a repeatable process in line with Air Force Instructions and guidance," said Maj. Kyle Hurwitz, 375th LRS commander.

In preparation for the LCAP, 375th LRS Airmen dedicated every Tuesday and Thursday from 1-5 p.m. for intensive training. They also had staff visits from subject matter experts from Headquarters Air Mobility Command and MacDill AFB, Fla.

"This is the only Air Force inspection that evaluates an individual's job," said the major.
"When the inspectors come in they evaluate 'Airman X' on task 'X.'"

There are roughly 1,000 different tasks that can be evaluated and the squadron will be inspected on a third of those.

"I know that we are fully prepared to get an outstanding," said Major Hurwitz.

"The 375th Operations Group is included in the LCAP," he added. "During the last LCAP, the 375th LRS received an excellent and the 375th OG received an outstanding, so we can't let them out do us again."

Last Friday, the 375th LRS had a pep rally to motivate them.

"They work hard to prepare, they are professional Airmen and this is what they get paid to do, so now is their time to shine for the inspection," said Major Hurwitz.
