375th LRS, OG score well on LCAP inspection Published Sept. 29, 2010 By Senior Airman Amber R. Kelly-Herard 375th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Last week, two military units scored "Outstanding" and "Excellent" during an intensive inspection of more than 1,000 tasks related to how they move supplies and passengers. The inspection, named Logistics Compliance Assessment Program, or LCAP, scrutinized the 375th Logistics Readiness Squadron and the 375th Operations Group, who emerged with the outstanding and excellent ratings respectively. "This 'outstanding' is a result of the ownership, pride and professionalism with which the Airmen, NCOs, officers, civilians and contractors in the 375th LRS execute their jobs," said Maj. Kyle Hurwitz, 375th LRS commander. "There was a whole lot of work and preparation leading up to the inspection but ultimately the grade was the result of the 375th LRS performing at their best when the inspection was on." He said that along with the outstanding rating, the inspection team gave his unit areas for improvement. "In the coming months we will look to address these areas as we begin our preparation for the 375th Air Mobility Wing's 2011 Unit Compliance Inspection. I couldn't be prouder to be a member of this championship team." Lt. Col. Dirk Porath, 375th Operations Group deputy commander, explained that LCAP inspectors evaluated how well their Quality Assurance Representatives manage the maintenance contractors for their transient alert aircraft and C-21 missions. "It was a real team effort in coordinating between us and our other units at Peterson AFB, Colo., and Andrews AFB, Md. It validates that we are meeting--and exceeding--the management oversight requirements set by the Air Force." Master Sgt. Scott Bridgeman, 458th Airlift Squadron C-21 and transient alert Quality Assurance representative was one of five Airmen recognized as outstanding performers. "I feel awesome that the LCAP went well," he said. "It was a great opportunity for us to unit and show what we can do." The other outstanding performers, from the 375th LRS, are Tech. Sgt. Charles Rager, Senior Airman Geena Poff, Airmen 1st Class Spencer Foust, Devon Parrish, and Joshua Wyatt.
