Halloween fun on both sides of the river Published Oct. 20, 2010 By 375th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs Office SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- The Scott Air Force Base area has several family-friendly Halloween attractions including: Magic House's Not-So-Haunted House The Not-So-Haunted House at Magic House is all for the kids. Every child receives an autograph book that allows them to collect signatures from storybook characters. Some characters this year are from Peter Pan, Harry Potter and the Wizard of Oz. There is also a haunted trail for older kids. Cost is $8.75. Location: 516 S. Kirkwood Road St. Louis, MO 63122 Boo at the Zoo The Zoo stays open late for Halloween fun. On Oct. 30, Spooky Saturday will be held for children to trick-or-treat along the Zoo's pumpkin trail and participate in a costume parade. Cost is $4 for members and $5 for non-members. Location: One Government Drive St. Louis, MO 63110 Eckert's Eckert's has a pumpkin patch with varying sizes up to 150 pounds. The Jumpin' Pumpkin Jamboree also has wagon rides, live music, pony rides, a petting farm and more. The Millstadt location also has Haunted Hayrides. There are three different Eckert's locations offering different attractions. It is a two-story building filled with different scenes. Cost is $20 for adults or $30 for a speed pass. Location: 1525 South 8th Street Soulard, MO 63104 Creepyworld Creepyworld is St. Louis' biggest haunted theme park with seven attractions in one place. Cost is $20 for adults or $30 for a speed pass. Creepyworld is presented by the same producers as the Darkness. Tickets can be bought for both for $35 for adults or $50 for a speed pass. Location: 1400 S. Old Highway 141 Fenton, MO 63026 The Lemp Brewery Haunted House and Mansion The Lemp Brewery is a new attraction, produced also by the same creators of the Darkness and Creepyworld. Participants will take an elevator through the underground cave. Cost is $20 for adults or $30 for a speed pass. Location: 3500 Lemp Ave. Soulard, MO 63118 The Lemp Mansion is considered one of the ten most haunted places in America. The mansion contains a bed and breakfast. Tours are also available. Location: 4900 6 Flags Road Pacific MO 63069 The Fear Factory The Fear Factory is an old farmhouse in the country. Cost is $17 or $25 for a speed pass. Location: 14 Keeteman Road Old Monroe, MO 63369 Drip Drip is the newest haunted house in St. Louis. It's another haunted farmhouse. Cost is $20. Location:17500 Chesterfield Airport Road Chesterfield, MO 63005 Field of Screams Field of Screams is an old, haunted house in Alton. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger. Location: 1211 Henry St. Alton, IL 62002 Eureka Butcher Eureka Butcher is a house that belonged to a butcher who liked to serve human cadavers to customers. Cost is $17. Location: 111 Hilltop Village Center Drive Eureka, MO 63025 Corn Maze Massacre Corn Maze Massacre is a 12 acre corn maze where 100 residents have gone missing. Hayrides are offered at the end.
