The Biggest Loser 2 Challenge begins Jan. 10, just in time to help Team Scott members with any healthy weigh and lifestyle goals for 2011. The challenge is a team approach to increase physical activity and achieving a healthy weight. Teams are made up of two to four people, one of whom is the team captain. The eight week long challenge begins with weigh-ins for each participant. From each weigh-in, participants will be told what a healthy amount of weight, if any, would be for them to lose. Individuals of all fitness levels are welcome to participate and can achieve points through weight loss, exercise, and healthy eating. Team captain meetings will be held Jan. 10 and 11 at 8, 9, and 11 a.m. as well as 12, 1, 3 and 4 p.m. each day. Weigh-in appointments, an overview of the challenge, rules and scoring instructions will be provided at each meeting. The challenge, which runs through March 4, is open to all of Team Scott, including active duty, dependents, retirees, as well as civilian and contract employees. All participants who complete the challenge receive a HAWC incentive prize and prizes will be awarded to teams with the highest percentage of weight loss, most points scored, and best Team name.
