Team Scott Motorcycle Safety Day Published March 31, 2011 By 375th Air Mobility Wing Safety Office SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- A Base-wide Motorcycle Safety Day will be held on 14 April. The day will begin at 0900 hrs with a mandatory Scott AFB Motorcycle Safety "All Call" in the Base Theater. After the "All Call" the Motorcycle Safety Day afternoon events will continue at the pavilions next to ALS. The focus of the event is to promote motorcycle safety and rider awareness throughout Team Scott. All military, civilian, contractor riders and anyone who is considering operating or purchasing a motorcycle are invited to participate. For 375 AMW personnel, Col Hornitschek stated, "I fully support the Scott AFB Motorcycle Safety Day, 14 Apr 11, and encourage the participation of our civilian employees. Accordingly, as mission permits and with supervisor approval, civilian employees are authorized excused absence to attend the various sponsored activities. I encourage tenant commanders to authorize time for their employees to attend as well". Motorcycle Safety Day Itinerary: 9 to 10:30 a.m - Base Theater for Mandatory Briefing 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - Burger Burn at Pavilion 11 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Motorcycle show, safety demonstrations and vendor displays. First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded 2 to 3 p.m. - Mentor Ride (All Scott Motorcyclist Invited) The Motorcycle Safety Day events are sponsored by the Air Force Global Logistics Support Center and the 375th Air Mobility Wing.
