Last year, the Air Force Global Logistics Support Center sponsored its first motorcycle safety event with a bike show consisting of 14 bikes from enthusiasts in the AFGLSC, 15th Operational Weather Squadron, Air Mobility Command, and the Air Force Network Integration Center.

This year the AFGLSC has joined forces with the 375th AMW Safety Office and will host its second motorcycle safety event April 14 to bring motorcycle safety and awareness to all of Team Scott.

The planners of this year's event hope to draw as many as 200 Scott motorcycle operators and other enthusiasts. In addition to the bikes, there will be representatives from the Illinois State Police MotorTroopers showing off their machines and doing a precision ride, followed by a sport bike demonstration. Vendors will be on hand to highlight the latest safety gear, the Green Knights Motorcycle Club of Scott Air Force Base will have representatives available to discuss club rides and membership, and Full Throttle Magazine will be on hand to cover the event. T.J. Miles from the 375th Safety Office will give safety briefings for all riders from novice to expert.

To culminate this event, there will be a mentor ride around Scott for all those who want to participate.

You don't have to be a motorcycle enthusiast to enjoy the beauty of the motorcycles that will be on display both by the vendors and those participating in the event.
All of Team Scott is invited to come out and enjoy the day.
