On 26 May 11, Hangar Road will be closed from Hangar 1 to Golf Course Road for approximately 30 minutes starting at 0700 hrs for a HQ AMC Run.

CAF SURVEY - RESPOND BY 31 MAY
Headquarters AMC needs your help in getting more support for the completion of the command's latest Comprehensive Airman Fitness survey. COMPREHENSIVE AIRMAN FITNESS - 1 JUN

FROM STRIPES TO BARS- 3 JUNE
The Scott AFB NCO Council would like to invite you to a briefing on commissioning programs available to enlisted members. BASE CELEBRATES HOMECOMING WEEK JUNE 6-10
Team Scott organizations will open their doors to Scott residents, workers, and their families (ID card holders) to educate them about the many different missions at Scott AFB during the base's first ever Homecoming Week. Homecoming Week, which is June 6-10, was designated by the 375th Air Mobility Wing commander, Col. Michael Hornitschek, as a way to foster "inside the wire" relationships.
More than a dozen organizations on base will open their doors June 6-8 for tours and demonstrations. Participating units are listed below and a full schedule of events will be available shortly as details become solidified.
The base is sponsoring a wing training day on June 9 and then June 10 is the annual family picnic hosted by the 375th Force Support Squadron. The very next day, June 11, the city of O'Fallon will also host its annual "Salute to Scott" picnic at the O'Fallon park where Team Scott families are honored for their service to the nation. ALS COMMANDANT POSITION - APPLICATION DEADLINE 9 JUNE
The CMSAF Bud Andrews Airman Leadership School is looking for an energetic, ultra-sharp, self-motivated, MSgt or MSgt(s) to lead one of the most successful Airman Leadership Schools in the Air Force. ENERGY TIP OF THE WEEK
Leaky faucets that drip at the rate of one drop per second can waste up to 2,700 gallons of water each year. Also, the next energy conversation with the 375th AMW commander is 2 June at 1600 in the wing conference room. All are invited to attend.

GIANT YARD SALE - 4 JUNE
Scott Air Force base will host its first annual giant yard sale in all housing areas June 4 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Due to force protection measures this will not be open to the public as long as the base remains in FPCON Bravo. In FPCON Bravo only those personnel with normal, official, or sponsored base access will be permitted to participate, access will be through normal base gates. To date there are more than 40 participants. Yard sale maps will be available at the Patriot's Landing Community Center, and at the various base entry gates. SCUBA DIVING TRIP - 4 JUN
Join Outdoor Recreation on a Scuba Diving Adventure at Mermet Springs on Saturday, 4 June. Cost is $48/person, which includes transportation, equipment, gear and instruction. One on one instruction from a dive master will be given for approximately 30 minutes. Buses will depart at 0800, returning around 1700. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Mark your calendars! The Scott First Sergeants Group will hold its annual golf tournament on Thursday, 16 June. Check-in and lunch begins at 1100, with a shotgun start at 1230 pm. The proceeds from this tournament directly support base recognition programs to ensure enlisted members from all the services are recognized for their outstanding performance and dedication. Additionally, funds received support "Operation Warmheart", which is managed by the First Sergeants to ensure enlisted members are provided for year round. TOP 3 SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE - NOW through 17 JUN
The Scott Top 3 will host the "Nadezhda Orphanage School Supply Drive" 20 May - 17 Jun. The Nadezhda Orphanage is supported by several Team Scott deployed members at Manas AB Kyrgyzstan. The facility supports about 70 mentally and physically handicapped orphans who are in great need of school supplies. Items Needed: notebooks, art paper (specifically A3 paper requested by 1st grade), pencils, pencil sharpeners, kid style backpacks, pocket folders, pencil crayons, erasers, rounded tip scissors, pencil cases, rulers, geometry set (for the teenage kids), staplers, multi-colored construction paper of various sizes, easels. Donation boxes will be located throughout Scott AFB, please contact your squadron POC or SMSgt Rix at 256-2599 for more information.
