TSGT RELEASE PARTY - TODAY
You are invited to join Team Scott in congratulating the newest Technical
Sergeant selectees. The celebration will take place at the Scott Club today.
The selectees and their families or immediate guests must be in place by
1530 all other guests may join them at 1600.

SUPPLY STORE CLOSURE - 29-30 JUN
The AIB base supply store will be closed for inventory on 29 and 30 June.

375 AMW WINGMAN DAY - 30 JUN
Due to 375 AMW Wingman Day next Thursday, the FSS Military Personnel
Section, Fitness Center and James Sports Center will be minimally manned.
Please be prepared for delays. All previously scheduled appointments will
be honored in the event that they have not been subsequently re-scheduled.

The 375th Medical Group will have reduced services. They will have limited
availability of appointments for acute medical issues and other services
will be limited. Our Pharmacy and Lab will have limited services which may
result in longer than average response times. We regret any inconvenience
and thank you for your cooperation and understanding. As a reminder, If you
need emergency care, seek out the nearest emergency center or call 911. For
appointments or questions please call 256-WELL(9355).

The 375th Air Mobility Wing Legal Office will be closed for participation
starting at 1300. There will be no legal assistance offered on this day.
We will resume normal hours on 5 Jul 11. Please contact our office at
256-3542 with any questions or concerns.

The finance office will have significantly reduced operating hours. Please
be prepared for significant delays or call wait times. If at all possible
please attempt to coordinate around this important military training day.

The services provided by the Communications Squadron, including the
Communications Focal Point, telephone/computer technicians, cable
maintenance, and airfield systems will be minimally manned. Customers may
still submit trouble tickets, but please anticipate delays in ticket
response time. High priority tickets, however, will not be affected. Thank
you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

JULY 4TH AAFES HOLIDAY HOURS

ASSUMPTION OF COMMAND - 7 JULY
On behalf of the Commander, 375th Air Mobility Wing, you are invited to
attend an Assumption of Command Ceremony at which Colonel Patrick J. Gooley
will assume command of the 375th Communications Group on July 7 at 1030.

LIMITED TRANSPORTATION SERVICE PROVIDER CAPABILITY
Due to the limited Transportation Service Provider capability remaining over
the next 30 days Joint Personal Property Shipping Office-Northeast is
requesting that only emergency or mission essential shipments are to be
entered into the system with a pack/pickup date through July 8. All shipment
requests will need to include alternate pack and pick up dates. Doing so
will afford us an opportunity to serve our customers the best way possible.

SNCO INDUCTION CEREMONY - 14 JULY
The SNCO Induction Ceremony will be held at the Scott Club on July 14.
Social hour starts at 5 p.m.; dinner follows at 6 p.m. For more information,

AFGLSC CHANGE OF COMMAND - 22 JULY
The AFGLSC Change of Command will be on 22 July at the Scott Club starting
at 1000. Maj Gen Gary McCoy will relinquish command to Brig Gen H. Brent
Baker. Immediately following the change of command will be Maj Gen McCoy's
retirement ceremony. Both ceremonies will be presided over by the
Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Gen. Donald Hoffman.

ENERGY TIP OF THE WEEK
Did you know it takes about 70 gallons of water to produce 1 gallon of gas?
Also, the next energy conversation with the 375th AMW commander is July 7 in
the 375th Wing Conference Room from 4 to 6p.m. All are invited to attend.

U2 CONCERT - VOLUNTEER DEADLINE TODAY
The Air Force Ball Committee needs 60 volunteers to work the U2 Concert at
Busch Stadium on July 17. Volunteer registration due June 23. Please contact

ITT SIX FLAGS TRIP - REGISTRATION DEADLINE JUNE 24
The Scott AFB Information Tickets & Travel office is hosting a trip to Six
Flags St. Louis July 2 for $34. Cost includes admission and a buffet lunch
from 1 to 3 p.m. Anyone with a season pass or active duty military can join
the group for lunch for $12.99/person. A minimum of 35 people must be
registered. Anyone 17 & under must be accompanied by an adult. Trip is open
to all ID card holders. Registration deadline is June 24. Register online at

admittance to Six Flags St. Louis is free July 1-4.

SENSORY-FRIENDLY MOVIE - 25 JUN
The Exceptional Family Member Program will host a showing of Planet 51 at
the Base Theater June 25. Movies are played with the lights on and sound
turned down to accommodate children with special needs. For more

3RD ANNUAL CRITICAL DAYS OF SUMER CAR AND MOTORCYCLE SHOW - 29 JUN
The 3rd Annual 101 Critical Days of Summer Car and Motorcycle Show will take
place at the Exchange, on Wednesday, 29 June 2011, 1000 - 1500 hrs. Sign up
now to compete! Contact the Safety Office at 256-6311 for registration
information. The Car and Motorcycle Show will begin at 1000 hrs. Vehicles
may be parked beginning at 0700 hrs. Judging will occur during the show at
a time convenient for the judges. All participants must leave their vehicle
in place until after the winners are announced. Cars and Motorcycles will
compete in stock or modified classes. Trophies will be presented to the
best in each class and overall.

CHIEF'S GROUP ANNUAL STEAK SALE - 30 JUN
The Chief's Group will host their annual Steak Lunch on June 30 June from 11
a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the Passenger Terminal, Bldg. 8. The lunch plate
costs $8.00 and includes steak, corn on the cob, bake potato, dinner roll
and beverage. Tickets can be purchased from any chief in your organization.
For orders of 10 or more, advance notice is required on the day of pick-up.
All proceeds go directly back to Scott AFB through local support programs.

2011 CLUB SCHOLARSHIP SUBMISSION DEADLINE - 1 JUL
Air Force Club Members. get your share of $25,000 in scholarship awards to
help combat the costs of higher education. This year 25 college bound
students will be selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship giveaway as part
of the Air Force Club Membership Scholarship Program. To enter, just write
and submit an essay of 500 words or less on this year's topic, "My
Contribution(s) to the Air Force." A current college/university acceptance
letter or official transcripts must be included. Current Air Force Club
members and their family members (e.g. spouse, son, daughter,
stepson/daughter, and grandchildren who are dependents of members) are
eligible. Complete rules and eligibility can be found at www.afclubs.net or
by calling the Scott Club at 744-1333. All submissions must be submitted to
the Scott Club by 1 July 2011. Winners will be announced 16 Sept.

SWIM LESSONS - 5-15 JUL
Register at Outdoor Recreation today for swim lessons. Cost is $45/person
per session. Swim Lesson Sessions: Session 2: 5-15 July, Session 3: 25
July 25 - 5 Aug. Classes must have a minimum of six students for lessons to
be held. Swimmers will be evaluated at the first lesson and placed in the
proper lesson level. All classes will be held at the James Sports Center
Pool;

*Ages 5-14: 0900 to 0945 or 1000 to 1045,

*Parent & child (under 5 yrs. old): 1100 to 1130,

*Adults (15 & older): 1100 to 1145 or 1700 to 1745.

GOLF TOURNEY - 15 JULY
The Navy element at Scott AFB is hosting a golf tournament at Locust Hills
Golf Course in Lebanon, IL on July 15th. This is to support the Navy
element MWR fund. The cost is $60 for E-7/civilians and above and $50 for
E-6 and below. There will be prizes and goodie bags. To play contact CPO

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS) -11-15 JULY
The Scott AFB Chapel will host VBS for all children Pre-School through 6th

FIREWORKS SAFETY
Fireworks are often part of Fourth of July celebrations, but backyard
fireworks displays can be extremely hazardous. Every year thousands of
Americans, mostly children, are hurt by consumer fireworks such as sparklers
and firecrackers. It's always best to attend a professional fireworks
display hosted by a local municipality in order to have a safe and enjoyable
firework display. Fireworks on Scott AFB are prohibited.

TOASTMASTERS INTERNATIONAL - TUESDAYS, 1130-1230
Experience Scott Air Force Base Toastmasters! Weekly meetings allow you to
practice prepared or impromtu speeches, fill meeting roles, and take on
leadership tasks. A positive environment to improve your public speaking and
leadership skills. Meetings are held every Tuesday 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at
