The Scott Air Force Base Thrift Store has moved to Bldg. 700 on South Winters Drive and re-opened for business July 19.

"Due to the expansion of the Education Center, we had to relocate," said Jamie Messer, Scott Air Force Base thrift store manager. "The Education Center is adding more rooms for universities and a student lounge which caused the relocation."

The Thrift Store is jointly run by volunteers from the Scott Air Force Base Officers' Spouses' and Enlisted Spouses' Clubs.

The thrift store accepts items such as clothing, household goods, and dishware goods for donation. The Thrift Store does not accept any items that are worn, dirty or broken.
"The store is open to anyone who can get on Scott AFB," said Messer. "People can support this organization by donating, consigning, buying or volunteering."

The thrift store is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on the first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
