The camp, designed for children with specials needs, was made possible through the joint efforts of the Airman and Family Readiness Center EFMP Family Support Coordinator, Youth Center staff and numerous volunteers from around the base. "Camp Friendship was a big success," said Natalie Jackson, EFMP Family Support Coordinator. "Our campers had a blast and that is what it's all about." The camp ran from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days and incorporated both outdoor and indoor activities including hiking, learning how to read a compass, fishing, tracking animal prints, crafts, sports, meals and a performance by Cowboy Randy Erwin. At the end of the last day, boys and girls took part in an awards ceremony. "Camp Friendship was awesome," said Ann Marie Hines, mother of two campers. "Thank you so much."
