The Providence Bowl is a rivalry football game between Hickman and Rockbridge High School from Missouri. The Air Force will supply shirts, trophies and award two $500 scholarships to a player from each team with the highest grade point average. "Everywhere you look during the game there is going to be Air Force," said Tech Sgt. Joe Lawrence, the marketing NCO in charge for the 345th RCS. "All the sideline volunteers are going to be in Air Force T-shirts and hats. We are going to have seven to 10 Air Force banners scattered across the stadium. "We will have the largest presence," he said. "Last year, there were 16,000 people in attendance. For a high school football game, that's unheard of," he said. "The Air Force is going to reach 1,000 students to 10,000 teachers, parents and community members during the game. In addition to the attending audience we will reach another 10,000 to 60,000 people through the television." Lawrence said, "No one is going to be able to walk away without saying 'Wow, Air Force really did their thing today.'" Lawrence and the other 345th RCS personnel cover a 118,000-square-mile area that includes central and southern Illinois, eastern Missouri, western Tennessee, Paducah, Kentucky, eastern Arkansas, and northern Mississippi.
