VERA/VSIP SURVEYS - DUE 9 SEP Due to anticipated FY 12 civilian funding challenges, Air Force plans to Implement Voluntary Early Retirement (VERA) and Voluntary Separation Incentive Pay (VSIP) early in FY12. Accordingly, VERA/VSIP surveys were distributed to employees on 22 Aug 11. Individuals interested in an incentive should complete the survey and return it to 375 FSS/FSMC or email it to the 375 FSS/FSMC organization box, NO LATER THAN 9 Sep 11. AMC RETREAT CEREMONY - 9 SEP HQ AMC will host a 9/11 Retreat Ceremony on the Parade Field at 4 p.m. Lt. Gen. Rusty Findley, AMC/CV, will be the guest speaker and the Band of Mid-America will be performing. The base populace is invited to attend. 9/11 OBSERVATION CEREMONY - 11 SEP A "Run/Walk to Remember" starts at 3:30 p.m. at the Parade Field. Military members should wear their branch specific PT uniforms to represent their service's contributions. Civilians should wear appropriate gym attire. The formal ceremony begins at 4:30 p.m.in front of the 375th AMW Headquarters and will include the acceptance of a steel beam from the World Trade Center by the 375th AMW Commander. Observers & participants who did not participate in the "Run/Walk to Remember" should wear ABUs or equivalent for the event (if an armed forces member); civilians should wear appropriate attire.
