The Scott Education Center supports Airman development through delivery of high-quality, innovative and accessible educational programs and services. Comprehensive program offerings enhance Airman readiness and promote successful career transitions.

"We provide the resources and support to help Scott Airmen build a foundation for career success," said Roland Smith, 375th Force Support Squadron Education Center manager. "If there's a roadblock, we want to help our customers move it."

The Scott Education Center provides academic advisement, information and referral services to Scott Airmen aspiring to complete an academic degree or certification program. Education Center specialists provide both group and one-on-one academic advisement services, to help Airmen select academic and benefit programs best suited to their lifestyle and professional goals.

In addition, the Scott Education Center administers the base-level Air Force Tuition Assistance, or AFTA, Program. Through the AFTA program, Scott active duty officer and enlisted personnel are eligible for up to 100 percent tuition assistance funding, to pursue approved education goals.

In fiscal year 2011, Scott Airman enrolled in 5,082 courses, funded through the AFTA Program. In addition, more than 500 Scott Airmen, including officer, enlisted, civilian and contract personnel, earned degrees at the associate, baccalaureate or graduate level.
