Bomb threat at Scott Published May 11, 2012 375 Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Officials are responding to a bomb threat madeby a former employee that occurred at approximately 1 p.m. today at the 375th Medical Group's Clinic building, and as such that building along with nearby buildings to include Bldgs. 1529/1533 have been evacuated. The suspect made verbal threat and was later apprehended at the 375th Air Mobility Wing Headquarters Building, Bldg. P-3. That person has been detained and transported to security forces. Currently the MDG building is being searched and there is a 500-foot cordon so people are requested to stay out of that areas so officials may proceed with the sweep. The gates are open for traffic, however the school's gate is closed and officials are notifying the buses to take an alternate route. More information will be provided when it becomes available. UPDATE: The situation has been terminated. It was been confirmed that there was negative findings within buildings.
