Command Chief Wes Mathias is retiring after 30 years of service to our Air Force. With a career in weather and two positions as command chief, he has worked tirelessly for Airmen all over the globe. While at Scott, he served three commanders and introduced us to “The Showcase Shadow!” I’m honored to have served with him, and on behalf of Team Scott, we wish you the best in your future! Our new Command Chief Patricia Hickey will officially be in the seat Oct. 2, and we welcome her in next week’s edition of the Command Post.

Chief Master Sgt. Wes Mathias, 375th Air Mobility Wing Command Chief learns the basics of welding metal in the 375th Logistics Readiness Squadron Maintenance Shop, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, Sept. 16, 2016. His instructor was Tech. Sgt. Brian Bradley, 375th Logistics Readiness Squadron Vehicle Management NCOIC. Tech. Sgt.
