New Scott lodging on schedule for completion Published Sept. 1, 2017 By By Airman Chad Gorecki 375th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Scott’s new lodging facility is still on schedule to be completed by Oct. 31 and open during January. “The new Scott Inn will replace the antiquated facilities currently being used to lodge our Airmen, families, and transient personnel,” said Lt. Col. Jeffrey Elliot, 375th Force Support Squadron commander. “This facility will meet current and future needs of the Wing and its 30+ mission partners.” Once construction is complete, Air Force Services Agency and the Force Support Squadron will have access to prepare the facility. The facility will consist of 284 rooms—including 267 guest rooms and 17 business suites—elevators, an exercise room, two training rooms, a business center, a lobby seating area, a reception center, Rickenbacker’s kitchen, and indoor and outdoor settings. Each room will include televisions, linens, drapes and furniture. “The foundation behind the new Scott Inn is to provide Airmen and their families with an exceptional value, convenience, superb accommodations and service at a very affordable rate,” said Elliot. The new visitor’s quarters will replace the base’s current lodging facility, providing a better option for people while visiting Scott. “The new facility provides a multitude of benefits for the community and our transient personnel,” said Elliot. “The facility’s proximity to the Metro Link will also allow inbound and transient personnel better access to community areas such as the James Sports Center, track, dining facility, childcare, and larger work areas.”
