ENERGY MEETING - 8 SEP
Col. Michael Hornitschek, 375th AMW commander, will host the next energy conversation meeting 8 Sep at 1130 in the wing conference room. All are welcome to attend.

AMC RETREAT CEREMONY - 9 SEP
HQ AMC will host a 9/11 Retreat Ceremony on the Parade Field, Friday, Sept. 9, at 4 p.m. Lt Gen Rusty Findley, AMC/CV, will be the guest speaker and the Band of Mid-America will be performing. The base populace is invited to attend.

9/11 OBSERVATION CEREMONY - 11 SEP
We have started the countdown to remember. Team Scott is 10 days from the 9/11 10th Anniversary Observation Ceremony where we will "Run/Walk to Remember" starting at 1530 on Sunday, 11 September. Military members should wear their branch specific PT uniforms to represent their service contributions. Civilians should wear appropriate gym attire.

The formal ceremony begins at 1630 in front of the 375th AMW Headquarters and will include the acceptance of a steel beam from the World Trade Center by Colonel Hornitschek, 375th AMW Commander. Observers & participants who did not participate in the "Run/Walk to Remember" should wear ABUs or equivalent for the event (if an armed forces member); civilians should wear appropriate attire.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE - 13 SEP
The Red Cross will be holding its monthly Blood Drive at Rockwell Hall Sept 13 from 0800-1700.The USO will also be present serving Chili Dogs for presenting donors from 1000-1400. To check eligibility requirements visit http://www.redcrossblood.org/donating-blood/eligibility-requirements

ANG PALACE CHASE/FRONT OPPORTUNITIES - 20 SEP
In-Service Recruiter for the Air Guard will be visiting Scott AFB on Tuesday, September 20 to conduct Palace Chase/Front Briefings. First term airman must have half of their enlistment contract complete in order to be eligible to Palace Chase. If you have applied for re-training and have been turned down or if you would like to move back to your home of record you should consider attending this briefing. Items that will be discussed will be the benefits of joining the Air Guard, full time job opportunities and how to apply and being able to utilize the AD MGIB or Post 9/11. There will be a question and answer session at the end of the briefing as well as a time that will be dedicated for folks to ask questions privately.

NCO PROFESSIONAL ENHANCEMENT SEMINAR SEP 26-30
The NCO Professional Enhancement course targets SSgt/TSgts and is designed to bridge the gap between Professional Military Education (ALS/NCO Academy). This program offers mentorship, resources for career development, networking and self improvement opportunities.

EIM SITE OWNER OCTOBER CLASSES
The 375th AMC EIM Helpdesk has two more EIM Site Owner classes available in October.

The class dates are as follows:

Oct 5 & 6, 0800-1600 Bldg 859 Rm 134

Oct 19 & 20, 0800-1600 Bldg 859 Rm 134

This is a mandatory class for anyone who "owns" an EIM Site, however if you have already taken an EIM Site Owner class and have the certificate you DO NOT need to attend this training. If you have any questions, contact the 375th AMC EIM Helpdesk at 256-3054.

SKY DIVING ADVENTURE - 10 SEP
Have you ever wanted to jump out of a plane? Ever wanted the wind rushing past your face at speeds of over 100mph? Then join Outdoor Recreation for an opportunity to do a Static Line Sky Dive or a Tandem Jump on Saturday, 10 Sep. A Static Line Jump is a solo jump, where the parachute is deployed by a line attached to the aircraft. Cost for this extreme adventure is $196/person, which includes transportation, training, equipment, debrief, certificate and logbook for steps toward earning a USPA license. Not sure about solo jumping? Then sign-up for a Tandem Jump (instructor is attached to you and you jump together). Cost for the tandem jump is $250/person. Patrons must be 18 yrs. old to participate and some weight restrictions apply. Deadline to sign-up for the Tandem Jump is 3 Sep and the deadline for the Static Jump is 7 Sep. END OF SUMMER COUPLES TOURNAMENT - 10 SEP
Cardinal Creek Golf Course will be hosting their End of Summer Couples Tournament 10 Sep with a 1230 shotgun start. This tournament is a two person (male/female) scramble. Entry fee is $90 per couple, $60 per Annual Fee Payer couple and $40 per Eagle Annual Fee Payer couple. Fee includes greens fees, cart, range balls, dinner, beverages, closest to the pin, longest drive, shortest drive and flighted cash payout! BOWL-A-THON FUNDRAISER FOR 9/11 - 16 SEP
The AFNIC Top 3, Scott Top 3 and the 9/11 Committee will be hosting a 9/11 Observation Ceremony bowl-A-Thon to raise funds for the Team Scott 9/11 Memorial. All funds will be donated to the 9/11 committee to aide them in this venture. Everyone is welcome. This event will not be considered an alternate duty location for civilian employees. CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT - 23 SEP
NJVC will host the 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting laptops for Wounded Warriors at the Cardinal Creek Golf Course Friday, 23 Sep. Sign in begins at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. Cost of the event is $75 per person for teams of four, which includes breakfast, lunch, refreshment cart and beverages during award ceremony. 

RUCKUS RUN - 24 SEP
Ruckus Run has opened up the field for volunteers to work an amazing physical challenge 24 September. Two waves of volunteers can serve a.m. or p.m., 25 each.
