‘Mercury’ web-based app connects funeral directors with Honor Guard teams for direct support
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Kendall Dane, 375th Communications Support Squadron computer systems programmer, briefs Air Force Mortuary Affairs, Air Mobility Command 375th Air Mobility Wing, and commanders March 11, 2019, at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., on a new Honor Guard web-based app that he helped to develop, called Mercury. This application modernizes the management of funeral honors and eliminates missed funeral honors due to clerical errors. Dane got the idea while serving as an augmentee in the Honor Guard and witnessing clerical errors due to the old scheduling system. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Kristin Savage)
