Airmen receive CBRN training

Capt. Alex Sewersky, 375th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron flight nurse, and Staff Sgt. Rachel Melcher, 375th AES aeromedical evacuation technician, inspect the parts on their M50 gas masks during Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear training Feb. 7, 2019, at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. During inspections, Airmen check for rotting, cracking, discoloration and fraying. The mask should be inspected every six months and every seven days during wartime or exercises. This ensures that the mask is serviceable and able to save the user’s life if needed. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Miranda Simpson)
