Scott Chapel sponsors women’s resiliency fair
Brenda Wells, 375th Air Mobility Wing primary prevention of violence specialist, works at a Green Dot information booth March 23 at Scott Air Force Base. Green Dot is an innitiative aimed at preventing power-based violence among Air Force personnel, and it focuses on "Red Dots," a decision someone makes to assault or abuse someone else, and "Green Dots," a decision someone makes to react or prevent that from happening. The emphasis of the program is less about reporting crimes when they happen and more about creating a climate where the situations wouldn't happen in the first place. Visitors to the booth were encouraged to fill out ways to reduce violence, which were taped to the wall for others to see. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Maria Castle)
