375th LRS tests fuel samples
Senior Airman Christopher Buccieri, 375th Logistical Readiness Squadron fuels laboratory technician, tests a fuel sample to determine the presence of particulates. The fuels section provides aircraft and vehicle fuel support to all Scott and base visitors, so it’s important that the fuel is tested. The process is quick, says Buccieri, but too many particles in the fuel could mean the whole batch is unusable. If that’s the case, the batch is retested. If he were to receive the same result, the test sample is sent to another lab off-base for in depth analysis. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Martinez/Released)
