Fuel Spill Exercise

William Johnson, 375th Civil Engineering Squadron fire station captain, and Tech. Sgt. Keith McPherson, 126th Logistics Readiness Squadron’s Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants technician, work out a strategy during a simulated fuel spill at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, Sept. 25, 2014. The 126th Air National Guard’s fuel tanks were the focus of the exercise, with a simulated leaking fuel valve. Under a ticking clock, 375 CES, bioenvironmental, security forces, and other base resources converged to quickly mitigate the problem. The Wing Inspection Team observed the actions of the participating players and suggested efficient ways to utilize different organizations. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Erica Crossen)
