Fuel Spill Exercise

William Johnson, 375th Civil Engineering Squadron station captain, and Staff Sgt. Eric Butler, firefighter, investigate a simulated fuel spill at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., Sept. 25, 2014. The 126th Air National Guard’s fuel tanks had a simulated leaking valve. Under a ticking clock, 375 CES, bioenvironmental, security forces, and other base resources converged to quickly mitigate the problem. The Wing Inspection Team observed the actions of the participating players and suggested the players went through the scenario just as they would do in real life to get the most out of the exercise.
