Fuel Spill Exercise

Paul Kempton, 375th Civil Engineering Squadron deputy fire chief discusses strategy at the temporary command station during a simulated fuel spill exercise at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., Sept. 25, 2014. The 126th Air National Guard’s fuel tanks had a simulated leaking valve. Kempton communicated with firefighters via radio to relay how to best tackle the fuel spill. The WIT observed the actions of the participating players and suggested the players went through the scenario just as they would do in real life to get the most out of the exercise and find efficient ways to utilize the participating organizations.
