Base marks National Transportation Week

Senior Airman Marcus Marshall raises the Halvorsen Loader during a static display at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., May 12, 2014. This vehicle is a high-reach mechanized aircraft loader capable of transporting cargo loads up to 25,000 onto both military and commercial aircraft. To commemorate National Transportation Week, the base is hosting a number of events from May 12-16, including transportation demonstrations of the vehicles from the static display and a 5K walk/run to honor fallen transportation personnel.
