Not just a dorm, truly a home

SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Shiloh Hall, the newest Airmen dorm at Scott Air Force Base officially opened Friday as numerous dignitaries from the neighboring communities joined 375th Airlift Wing Commander Col. Gary Goldstone and Craig Shoemate from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in cutting the ribbon. The dorm, which will house 120 Airmen, is the first on Scott to feature the new "Dorms-4 Airmen" concept. Also taking part in the ribbon cutting were Shiloh Mayor Jim Vernier, Mary Goldstone, Mike Tubbs, senior vice president of Korte Construction, and two of Shiloh Hall's first residents Airmen 1st Class Ricfrancis Mantanona, 375th Operations Support Squadron, and Ole Haug, 375th Contracting Squadron.
