Volunteer effort

USO volunteers Kent Ernst and Will Bowers help servicmembers keep track of their luggage as they relax in the newly renovated USO at Lambert Airport in St. Louis, which re-opened June 3, 2009, after $300k worth of improvements gifted through the efforts of Dave Glover, 97.1 FM radio talk show host, and Marc Bulger, St. Louis Rams. Citing that "nothing is too good for our troops" the two gentlemen headed fundraising effort for the renovations that feature a child play/sleeping area, cyber cafe, gaming room, expanded media room, remodeled canteen and dining area, changing room and a larger luggae storage area. Representing the base was Col. Gary Goldstone, 375th Airlift Wing commander, who said the USO is a home to our troops wherever it may be and thanked them for their continued support of the nation's servicemembers.
