Air Force DEPpers Launch New Career

SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill -- Monster Jam announcer, Scott Douglas, interviews Col. Gary Goldstone, 375th Air Mobility Wing commander, Feb. 6th, 2010 at the Monster Jam event held in St. Louis, Mo. Prior to the start of the event, Colonel Goldstone administered the oath of enlistment to members of the U.S. Air Force Delayed Entry Program. All potential servicemembers enter the DEP for up to a year as inactive Reserves as they wait for a basic military training date so that it coincides with technical school availability, high school graduation, or to have more time to research the military. In addition to witnessing 38 individuals swear in, the crowd also watched as members of the Scott Air Force Base Honor Guard presented the colors.
