Scott hosts 27th Annual Retiree Appreciation Day

– Col. David Almand, 375th Air Mobility Wing commander presents retired Lt. Col. Leroy Gruber with the volunteer of the year award at the Scott Club at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Sept. 28, 2012. Gruber received the award for the positive impact he has had on the morale and welfare of base personnel as well as serving the more than 23,000 military retirees living in the greater Scott Air Force Base and surrounding communities that encompass Southern Illinois, Eastern Missouri, Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky who have benefited from his volunteer service and commitment.
