The Equal Opportunity office is responsible for processing Equal Employment Opportunity and Military Equal Opportunity complaints of discrimination filed by DAF civilian employees, former employees, and applicants for employment, Active-Duty Airmen and Guardians, United States Air Force Academy Cadets as well as Air Force Reserve(AFR) and Air National Guard (ANG) members under Title 10 on the basis(es) of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, gender identity, or sexual orientation as well as addressing other forms of harassment (including sexual harassment, bullying and hazing). Additionally, for civilian’s employees, disability, age (over 40), genetic information, and reprisal for prior equal opportunity (EO) activity. Serviced activities include the United States Transportation Command, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Air Force Communications Agency, 932nd Airlift Wing, 375th Air Mobility Wing and a significant number of other Department of the Air Force field operating agencies and direct reporting units.
The EO Director provides program management and administers their respective installation EO Program in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, executive orders, directives, and DoD and DAF policies to include ensuring program impartiality. EO practitioners advise complainants of the complaint processes and NDR Program, process informal, formal and anonymous complaints, and implements their EO responsibilities and duties to support the installation EO Program. The Equal Opportunity director serves as the Alternate Dispute Resolution Manager for Scott AFB addressing and facilitating conflicts in the workplace.
