Showcase Airman - Capt. Tamiko Gheen

This week’s Showcase Airman is Capt. Tamiko Gheen, 375th Medical Support Squadron Tricare Operations Patient Administration Flight commander. Gheen developed an AF-wide referral system continuity of operations plan that allows for continuity of care for patients during systems outages. Air Force Medical Operations Agency lauded her process as the “gold standard” and initiated this process for all 74 Air Force Military Treatment Facilities. Gheen planned and directed the 375th Medical Group’s annual network provider social, in which 81 civilian medical professionals attended, bolstering community relationships with these critical partners. While accomplishing these extraordinary endeavors, she also executed the wing’s JROTC Day, managing a 61-member team that molded over 200 cadets and provided their high school programs with much-needed uniform items. Finally, she was 375th MDSS’s lead for the dorm dinner, serving 81 Airmen a nutritious meal that garnered the only five-star rating from the Airmen for the third quarter.
