  • 375th MEDICAL GROUP VOLUNTEERS
    The American Red Cross is looking for volunteers to work at the 375th Medical Group. Volunteers are needed to support the Main and Satellite Pharmacies, and a few administrative/ receptionist positions. The clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and have base access.   • TUSKEGEE AIRMEN LEWIS LYNCH CHAPTER INC.
    The Lewis Lynch Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen Inc. holds a meeting every third Friday of the month at 1200 in the Scott AFB Library conference room. The Tuskegee Airmen Chapter of Scott AFB operates on three pillars: Mentorship, Community Service, and Preserving a legacy. Membership is required to join the chapter and can be discussed during the meeting.   • WAY OF LIGHTS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
    Looking for a special way to share the holiday spirit? Volunteer during the Way of Lights, greeting visitors to the Christmas tree display or assisting with children’s crafts at The Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows from November 22 through December 31. This is also a great opportunity for youth service hours. (Volunteers under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.) If interested, please email programs@snows.org or call 618-394-6281.

 

  • MEALS ON WHEELS
    The Air Force Sergeants Association is looking for five volunteers every Monday for the local Meals on Wheels program. Volunteers will meet at the Saint George Episcopal Church/Saint Mark Lutheran Church (410 N. High St, Belleville, IL 62220) in civilian attire to gather and deliver meals starting at approximately 1000. The route takes approximately 1.5-2.0 hours to complete.   • BLOOD DRIVE SPONSORS
    The American Red Cross is in need of blood drive sponsors. One sponsor unit per month is responsible for gathering volunteers to man the registration table on drive days and warm calling donors to set up appointments, as well as posting flyers and maximizing awareness.   • CHAPEL DORM DINNER VOLUNTEERS
    The Chapel provides $250 for units to cook and serve home-cooked dinners every Tuesday at 5 p.m. Contact the Chapel at 256-4060 or fill out and email the form located HERE

 

  • SCOTT AFB MEDICAL CLINIC RESEARCH STUDIES – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
    Scott AFB Medical Clinic is requesting assistance on multiple research studies being conducted that are focused on pain management for patients with knee osteoarthritis, C-section scars, and chronic exertional compartment syndrome. These research studies are open to all active duty and all DOD ID card holding beneficiaries.   • SCOTT TOASTMASTERS CLUB
    The SAFB Toastmasters Club is looking for volunteers to lead meetings. They meet Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. inside the education center (room next to main office). Toastmasters offers a communication and leadership certification for military and civilians that is internationally recognized and can be used anywhere. Membership is not required to participate.   • NOTICE:  ECARS TESTING
    AF Vehicle IM program includes all military and federal civilians who drive a POV for work at Scott AFB. When you get the email, follow the link and review the ECARS online form. POVs driven 60 or more days per year are required to meet the Illinois emissions testing requirement. Exemptions include newer, older, alternate fuel, hybrid, motorcycles, etc. If you have a similar vehicle emissions test from another state, see if it’s a qualifying test that can be used until expiration. Equivalent tests include St. Louis city, county. Regardless of whether you are required to test, you must complete the online ECARS form at least annually to avoid being listed as a delinquent participant. The test is good for two years. Your digital signature on the ECARS AF Form 4434 stipulates that the data you have entered is correct and accurate.   • AMC COMMUNICATION SKILLS TRAINING
    CST is focused on listening, non-verbal communication, and effective confrontation and is designed to improve interpersonal, face-to-face communication. It is NOT about writing or public speaking, and it's not the typical Air Force professional development course. It improves communication and relationships across all aspects of life.  We have classes scheduled throughout the year.
