Unit Fitness Challenge

Supporting the Mission

Senior Airman Nicholas Wavra, 375th Force Support Squadron. “I support the mission by conducting Mortuary Affairs duties at Scott AFB and the surrounding region of six states. This includes 127 GSUs and 31 tenant units. I maintain proper documentation to ensure all benefits are received, while overseeing $160,000 in contracts that provide the best possible service to our fallen brethren. I am a member of the notification team and, along with our Mortuary Officer, we make first contact with the next of kin on any active duty death.”

Airman 1st Class Colin Wood, 375th Force Support Squadron career development technician, files the orders of active duty military members alphabetically May 7, 2013 at the Scott Air Force Base, Ill., military personnel flight. Wood processes orders for over 600 active duty military personnel who are undergoing permanent change of station.
