Scott stays ready with exercise
Chief Master Sgt. Jeff Vaughn, 375th Civil Engineer Squadron, Fire Chief, briefs emergency personnel on the status of a simulated fuel spill during an exercise at Scott on Monday. Chief Vaughn was the on scene commander in charge of directing personnel to where they are needed. SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill., -- Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton A. Schwartz and Master Sgt. Randall "Moose" Nelson, read Sgt. Nelson's retirement certificate, Friday, in the U.S. Transportation Command's Seay Auditorium. Gen. Schwartz was at USTRANSCOM to officiate at the retirement of his former aide, Sgt. Nelson, who retired after more than 22 years on active duty.

Joint Service Dining Out
Scott AFB, Ill,; Members from the dining out are cutting the cake with Allen Chapin a World War 2 vetrian and former prisoner of war. Mr. Chapin was a 535th Bomb Squadron Sergeant with the Army Air Corps 381st Bomb Group. He was captured taken prisoner for 21 months before he was finally able to come home.
