8/8/2012 - SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- The Scott Elementary School Gate has new operating hours. The Scott Elementary School vehicle gate, located on Patriots Drive adjacent to the Scott Air Force Base Youth Center, will be opened at the following times during school days only:
· Monday, Thursday, Friday: 6:30-8:30 a.m. and 2:30-4 p.m.
· Tuesday and Wednesday: 6:30-8:30 a.m. and 2:30-4:40 p.m.
When the vehicle gate is closed, individuals will still be able to access Scott Elementary School through the pedestrian gate every Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All individuals using the pedestrian gate must park in the Youth Center parking lot to avoid pedestrian safety hazards when dropping off or picking up their children. Another option to access Scott Elementary School is by using Section Line Road, approximately 100 yards east of the traffic signal located at the intersection of Routes 158 and 161.
