375 AMW TRAINING DAY - 9 JUN
--Due to 375 AMW Training Day today, Customer Support, Force Management, and Career Development will be minimally manned. Please be prepared for delays. All appointments previously scheduled will be honored.
--The 375 Medical Group will conduct training starting at noon. Only scheduled operations at the Belleville Family Medicine Clinic will continue after 1200 hrs. As a reminder, if you need emergency care, seek out the nearest emergency center or call 911. To reach the on call provider, please call 256-WELL (9355). TOWN HALL FOR PARENTS - 9 JUN
A town hall meeting for parents is at 5:30 p.m. June 9 at the base theater where guest speakers from the Mascoutah, O'Fallon and Belleville Police Departments will share their knowledge about local drug trends that they are seeing in high schools. Any questions? Call 256-8650.
SCOTT SUMMER PICNIC - 10 JUN
Make plans to attend the FREE Scott Summer Picnic scheduled for Friday, 10 June, 1100 to 1500 near the ALS Pavilion Area. Enjoy free food, family games & inflatables. KMOV CHN. 4 BROADCASTS LIVE - 10 JUN
KMOV wraps up their week-long focus on Scott AFB as they broadcast live from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. from the U.S. Transportation Command's Transportation Plaza. It will be an open set, so there's no need to avoid the location. In fact, the producers encourage folks to come and observe the broadcast and meet the cast and crew. Tonights 5 p.m. broadcast will feature the 126th Air Refueling Wing and the 6 p.m. broadcast will feature Scott AFB energy initiatives, and will include live interviews from our Air Force, Coast Guard, Army and Marine servicemembers!
SALUTE TO SCOTT - 11 JUN
The City of O'Fallon, the Village of Shiloh, and the O'Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee will host the 17th Annual Salute to Scott AFB from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m at the O'Fallon Community Park (308 E. Fifth Street). The goal of this event is to show appreciation for Scott Air Force Base personnel and their families and to continue to strengthen that relationship. A flag ceremony will be held at 10:45 a.m. in honor of Flag Day to kick off the day's festivities. Free hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and soda will be served. Various area restaurants will also provide samples throughout the day. At the large pavilion in the park, the O'Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Business Expo.

NCO PROFESSIONAL ENHANCEMENT - 21-24 JUN
The NCO Professional Enhancement course targets SSgt/TSgts with 3 years since ALS, however all NCOs are invited to attend. This course is designed to give NCOs an edge on their career paths and increase skill sets to become leaders of warrior Airmen. Joint service members are invited as well. ENERGY TIP OF THE WEEK
Older toilets can use 3 gallons of clean water with every flush, while new toilets use as little as 1 gallon.Also, the next energy conversation with the 375th AMW commander is today at July 7 in the wing conference room. All are invited to attend.

NIPR ACCOUNT EXPIRATION NOTICES
When your NIPR account is about to expire (~1 year after your DOD IA training), you will receive a notification message at login about 7 days out. Do your DOD IA training on ADLS and send a soft copy to your unit IAOs. They will send a digitally signed message with your IA certificate to ESD to update your account expiration date. If ESD doesn't receive your updated certificate, your account will be locked.
AFNET MIGRATION, PHASE II AWARENESS
Phase II of the AFNet migration is occurring June thru Nov 2011. This will migrate servers on the Scott domain and in Active Directory onto the AFNet domain. This is expected to be user transparent.

Go all in on Saturday, 11 June in the Club's Enlisted Lounge for our Texas Hold'em Tournament! A pre-game social is from 1730-1830 p.m. featuring food (assorted hors d'oeuvres) and drink specials, followed by tournament play at 1900 (Registered players must be signed in by 1830 p.m.). Interested players must register at the Scott Club Monday - Friday from 0900-1700. Tournament seating limited to first 100 players and is a first come, first served basis. AFNIC GOLF TOURNEY - 15 JUN
The annual AFNIC Golf Tournament will be held on Wednesday, 15 June 2011 at the Locust Hills Golf Course in Lebanon. It's open to the first 132 players. The price is $55 per person with the option to purchase team mulligans (2 per player) and string for an additional $10. Each team/player can prepay ahead of time or pay day-of at the course, see your rep for payment. Proceeds will go to the AFNIC booster club. SCOTT FIRST SERGEANTS GROUP - ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT - 16 JUN
Mark your calendars! The Scott First Sergeants Group will hold its annual golf tournament on Thursday, 16 June. Check-in and lunch begins at 1100, with a shotgun start at 1230 pm. The proceeds from this tournament directly support base recognition programs to ensure enlisted members from all the services are recognized for their outstanding performance and dedication. Additionally, funds received support "Operation Warmheart", which is managed by the First Sergeants to ensure enlisted members are provided for year round. TOP 3 SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE - NOW through 17 JUN
The Scott Top 3 will host the "Nadezhda Orphanage School Supply Drive" 20 May - 17 Jun. The Nadezhda Orphanage is supported by several Team Scott deployed members at Manas AB Kyrgyzstan. The facility supports about 70 mentally and physically handicapped orphans who are in great need of school supplies. Items Needed: notebooks, art paper (specifically A3 paper requested by 1st grade), pencils, pencil sharpeners, kid style backpacks, pocket folders, pencil crayons, erasers, rounded tip scissors, pencil cases, rulers, geometry set (for the teenage kids), staplers, multi-colored construction paper of various sizes, easels. Donation boxes will be located throughout Scott AFB, please contact your squadron POC or SMSgt Rix at 256-2599 for more information.
"FLYING HIGH 5K" TO SUPPORT THE AIR FORCE BALL - 24 JUN
A 5K run will be held at 1900 on 24 June 2011 starting at the SWIC parking lot near the East Belleville YMCA. If you are unable to run or race, please sign up to volunteer! We need 20 water/trash pickup persons, five course monitors, six timekeepers and details will be provided on the Air Force Ball EIM web page. Deadline to enter for T-shirts ($5 additional) is June 15. Registration deadline is 22 June and cost $10. Race-day entry permitted for an additional $5 per person ($15 cost).

CHIEF'S GROUP ANNUAL STEAK SALE - 30 JUN
The Chief's Group will be holding their annual Steak Lunch on 30 June from 1100-1300 in front of the Passenger Terminal (bldg #8). The lunch plate is only $8.00 which includes steak, corn on the cob, bake potato, dinner roll and beverage. Tickets can be purchased from any Chief in your organization. (For orders of 10 or more, advance notice is required on the day of pick-up). Please come out and support the event. All proceeds go directly back to Scott AFB through local support programs.
FIRST FOUR ELECTIONS - 7 JUL
The First Four will be having Annual Elections July 7 at the General Meeting. Members eligible for holding office must have at least 1 year remaining on station at the beginning of their term and must have attended at least 2 meetings (excluding president at least 3 events or meetings) in the past 12 months including the July meeting. Elections require a majority vote. Votes will be cast by secret ballot.
U2 CONCERT - 17 JULY- SAVE THE DATE

Experience Scott Air Force Base Toastmasters! Weekly meetings allow you to practice prepared or impromtu speeches, fill meeting roles, and take on leadership tasks.
