  • EFMP Symposium connects Team Scott families with policy makers directly

    Air Force experts from the Exceptional Family Member Program assignments, medical and family support offices in Washington, D.C., were welcomed by Team Scott for a first-ever EFMP Symposium, May 15-16, held at McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois. This event was part of an expanded effort from the EFMP Working Group to reach out to the families at Scott Air Force Base and help educate them on the resources available and how the EFMP process works.
  • Scott AFB to host symposium for special-needs families May 15-16

    An Exceptional Family Member Program Symposium is planned for May 15-16 at McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois. May 15: Presentations detail federal special education law, rights, and responsibilities, tests and measurements, SMART IEPs, and provides an introduction to strategies for effective advocacy. May 16: Members from Headquarters Air Force, the Air Force Medical Operations Agency and Air Force Personnel Center will breif on all three elements of the EFMP process. Additional break out sessions on a variety of topics and an Information Fair will occur during the afternoon portion.
