Centennial Airshow
A 509th Bomb Wing B-2 Spirit conducts a fly-by during the Scott Air Force Base 2017 Air Show and Open House June 11, which celebrates the base’s 100th anniversary. Based out of Whiteman AFB, the B-2 provides the penetrating flexibility and effectiveness inherent in manned bombers. Its stealth characteristics give it the unique ability to penetrate an enemy’s most sophisticated defenses and threaten its most valued and heavily defended targets, making this aircraft an effective deterrent and combat force.
