375 AMW TRAINING DAYS
Beginning 12 Jan 2012 the 375 AMW designates the 2nd Thursday of each month as a unit training day. Base customer service organizations are permitted to reduce or close customer service points except for emergencies. Agencies affected include the MPF which will be closed except for emergency DEERS and ID issues; Fitness Center closed but James Gym is open; the 375th MDG--training begins at noon, clinic services will be limited; Comptrollers-closed; Health and Wellness Center--closed. All others will be minimally manned to support the training requirements.

TRAFFIC FLOW ADJUSTMENTS - 5 & 12 JAN
The Civil Engineers and Security Forces will be conducting joint final denial barrier inspections that will require some traffic re-routing during January. No gates will be closed completely, but traffic will be down to one lane for both incoming and outgoing traffic. Belleville Gate will be worked on 5 Jan 2012 and Shiloh Gate will be worked on 12 Jan 2012. The inspections will take place between 0900 - 1100 and 1330 - 1530 both days. From 0900-1100, they will be working in the in-bound lanes and they will be working in the out-bound lanes from 1330-1530. Please call 256-2931 or 256-8053 with any questions.

ENERGY CONVERSATION - 6 JAN
It is a myth that you use less electricity by keeping your demand heater on all the time. It's much cheaper and consumes less energy if water is heated only when needed. The next Energy Conversation with the 375th AMW/CC will be Jan. 6 at 11:30 a.m. in the Wing Conference Room. All are welcomed to attend.

SERVICES TOWN HALL - 10 JAN
A Town Hall meeting will be held Jan. 10 from 6-8 p.m. at the base theater to discuss Scott AFB's way ahead regarding the services that are provided on base. Air Force budget cuts force installations to critically examine what capabilities and services are genuinely needed and can be supported. Please join the wing for an open discussion on the way ahead.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE - 10 JAN
The ARC 1st "Junior Enlisted" Blood Drive will be held at Rockwell Hall Tues Jan 10 2012 from 0800-1700 to check eligibility requirements visit http://www.redcrossblood.org/donatingblood/eligibility-requirements 100 Blood Units Is the Goal. INFORMED DECISION SEMINAR - 17 JAN
The Informed Decision Seminar is mandatory for Air Force enlisted members with 12-15 months left on their first and second enlistment. The program offers airmen information on Air Force benefits, retention options, retraining, and other resources critical to those at this crossroad in their career. The program helps the member make an informed decision regarding their Air Force career. Spouses are welcome and encouraged to attend this event. INTRO TO RESILIENCE TRAINING - 18, 19 JAN
The Air Force Comprehensive Airman Fitness program is thriving at Scott Air Force Base and resilience is a key component. According to the Air Force Professional Development Guide Airmen we can become more "resilient" by reducing "self-defeating behaviors, feelings of hopelessness and despair ... and yield stronger, healthier, happier, more resilient Airmen and families who are better equipped to manage the rigors of 21st century military life." SEXUAL ASSAULT AWARENESS GUEST SPEAKER - 25 JAN
UNDERSTANDING CONSENT: Challenging Dynamics - Resilient Response 25 Jan @ 1015 GRPC and 1300 @ Base Theater. Anne Munch, JD., is a former prosecuting attorney of over 22 years who has dealt with many cases of sexual assault and violence against women. She is also the co-author of USAF Bystander Intervention Program and will be speaking to Scott leadership and installation Airmen on the challenging dynamics that are involved in sexual assault cases especially when trying to determine consent. NCO PROFESSIONAL ENHANCEMENT SEMINAR - 30 JAN
The primary objective of this seminar is to fill the professional military education gap between Airman Leadership School and the NCO Academy. Students will learn about enlisted heritage, mentoring, team building, professional writing skills and how to apply these principles learned in their job on a daily basis.

REGISTER PHONES TO MAKE VISITOR PASS REQUESTS FROM
Base residents and government employees are now able to register up to three phone numbers for visitor pass requests. This new system will enable requests from registered phones for Scott AFB authorized sponsors after an initial trip to the Visitor Control Center. To register, come to the VCC Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., or Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon with a current military issued identification card. Registration is good for one year. BYSTANDER INTERVENTION TRAINING: DEADLINE 1 MAY
Sexual Assault Bystander Intervention training is mandatory training for active duty Air Force personnel to include DoD civilians who supervise active duty Air Force. This training is required to be completed only once. (If you completed it in 2010 or 2011, you do not need to do it again) Training is offered at the Ed & Trng Bldg 1650 Rm 98 on TU, TH, and FRI. PHEASANT HUNT - 7 JAN
